Dimitrios Economides, President
Dimitrios founded Dimitrios Economides Associates in 1971 and made it a
professional corporation in 1983. Being licensed in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois,
Indiana and Florida had spread our projects all over the Midwest as well as the
south. Dimitrios received his degree from the Ohio State University School of
Architecture and has been affiliated with the American Institute of Architects
and the Michigan Society of Architects. His experience as an instructor for
Lansing Community College gives him the ability to communicate effectively with
the Client on details of their Project to keep them informed.
Jim DuRussel, Production Manager/Senior Designer
Jim joined Dimitrios Economides Associates in 1995 and has been a Design
Professional in all major building categories since 1985. His education is in
Architectural Engineering Technology from ITT Technical institute in Fort Wayne,
Indiana. His experience in architectural design, project administration,
production of construction documents, cost evaluation, field observation,
graphic design and layout, and code research on a wide range of residential
(including multi-family and senior housing), commercial and institutional
Projects makes him a valuable resource for any facet of our Clients Projects.
Randy Leak, Specifications Writer/Field Administrator
Randy has been with Dimitrios Economides Associates since 1994 as a project
manager in architecture as well as codes, specifications and field
administrator. Because of his extensive education from both Lawrence
Technological University and Ferris State University, Randy provides our firm
with an extensive knowledge of current code and design standards that keep our
structures ahead of their time. With specialties such as code research,
specification writing, rehab. projects, construction administrator, structural
design and detailing, Randy is able to provide the client with a full service
approach to their needs.
Adam Bertram, Architectural Technician
Adam became an associate in November of 2002. His education in Architecture
includes an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology, Associate in Applied
Science Degree from Lansing Community College and he is also currently pursuing
his Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. His
experience working at the Family Independence Agency office gives him the
technological knowledge needed to coordinate our office with the technology of
our Client's offices to facilitate excellent communication and presentation in
the design process.
Jeanni Opalek-Opsahl, Architectural Technician
SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1Jeanni joined Economides
Architects in January of 2006. She attended Central Michigan University and
holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Architecture from Lansing
Community College. Her work experience includes the University of Michigan’s
Facilities Planning and Design Department as well as ten years experience with
an Architect and various builders in the Ann Arbor area. Jeanni had worked
mostly residential, single family, mid to higher end homes prior to coming to
Economides Architects. She also chose to be self employed, doing drafting
projects, while being a stay at home mother. Jeanni brings our office a fresh,
single family residential design aspect as well as strong organizational skills.
Gus Economides, Construction Administration
Gus has been the lead
carpenter specializing in the restoration of the Michigan State Capital. He has
also played an active role in the design and reproduction of historic
furniture. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in historic details. His
20 year background in construction management has given Gus the qualifications
to be a thorough field inspector on some of our largest projects.
Kelly Economides, Office
Manager
Kelly founded Classic Relics,
LLC an Architectural interior/exterior design detailing business eight years
ago, then joined Economides Architects, LLC September 2004 bringing years of
design, office management and secretarial skills to our office.
